RBS, nationalisation & mortgage holders

What does the possibility (probability!!) of RBS being nationalised mean for current RBS mortgage holders?

**Ironically when we took this mortgage (nearly a year ago), our broker told us RBS had one of the stricter lending policies/ were not one of the silly lenders (aka NR)....mmm, isn't ringing so true now**

Obviously my heart goes out to anyone who has lost or who is going to be losing their job in the current economic situation. However, this is a mortgage board and it was a reasonable question, surely...?

Its not their lending thats got them into this problem. It's their buying. Buying to many sub prime lumps from the states ;-)
