Remortgaging Question

Hi All,

Please help me out here.

I fixed my mortgage last year for 2 years, which means that it will expire by 30/04/2010. The problem I have now is that the rate it was fixed at is really high compared to what is available now.

My question is, if i ask the lenders to change it to tracker, instead of the fixed, would it save me any money?

Regards

Goodeluck11.

You'd have to pay an ERC so check how much it'd be. Then you'd have to work out how much you'd save by going onto a tracker, and compare the difference, remembering to factor in arrangement fees. You're unlikely to save much, if anything, but you could check to see.
