Arrowroot - Help!!!

Does anyone know where I can buy Arrowroot from? I have used my packet up and the shop that sold it has now gone out of business.. I've tried the supermarkets and they don't have any, also popped into the health shop and they didn't have any. I'm really at a loss as to where I can get it now..

Trouble is I don't like using cornflour as a thickner as it changes the colour of the dish whereas arrowroot keeps the food the proper colour.

Any help would be appreciated :D

I would try the chemist, as it's traditionally used for invalid food I think,

I got mine in Sainsbury's and have just checked their online shopping and it is in there. It is called "Super Cook Arrow Root" and it is £1.09. When I bought mine it was 83p!! Perhaps you couldn't find it because you put "arrowroot" in as all one word whereas they have got it in as two words. Hope this helps and saves you a journey.
  • I've definitely bought in Sainsbury. It's with all the "odds & sods" in the baking section. Yes - it's usually the Super Cook brand with a squat white base and a red cap.

I got some recently in Tesco - it's along with the baking powder in (unsurprisingly!) the home baking section!

I've bought mine from the baking section in both Tesco's and Sainsburys.
