Hi there! As promised, here is the feed back.....

Pastiche was perfect for what we wanted i.e. a nice lunch without costing an arm and leg. The food was good quality and excellent value at £5.50 a head for three courses!! It was so nice to be able to take three teenagers out to eat without having to take out a second mortgage, lol! The bistro itself was light, bright and colourful, and we would never have found it without your help, Morph3us, so thanks for the suggestion and the directions. We parked up in the multistorey without any problems, and even the roadworks didn't cause any problems, so it was a good trip all round. It still felt very strange not seeing my boy on his actual birthday (yesterday) for the first time ever, but it was lovely to get to celebrate a bit.

What was amusing was the reaction of the younger two to the state of DS1's room:eek: - and that was after he'd tidied up in honour of us visiting!:D

Glad you had a brilliant time Bennifred.

Myeslf and the GF love Pastiche too. Used to be 3 courses for £5 so has now gone up 50p?!?!? :rotfl: They also do a 3 courses evening meal for £10 which is really good too. They are all over the midlands so keep an eye out for them, they are usually hidden away so not too easy to spot but thats what keeps them so cheap.

University - messy rooms - great social life - no mortgage, those were the days!!!! :rotfl:

Gone up by 50p!!! I LOVE it in Pastiche. Its scrumptious. I'm a bit late for this thread but maybe for next time you could go to ......

......Mr Chans :D If you like Chinese and want somewhere to go one evening. And students will love it. Its eat as much as you like for about £15 a head (I'm hopeless at remembering!). Its not buffet though. You order off the menu and just keep on ordering dishes until your tummy s fit to burst and it is fabtastic and yummy.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

Oooh yes, Quackers, we all love Chinese food!

Re: Pastiche. I have bad news. Not only has the lunch menu increased in price by 50p, but the evening dinner menu is now no longer only £10. It is (sharp intake of breath) £10.95!!

Know what you mean about life-before-mortgage, Morph3us! Although I do feel that today's students don't have it quite as easy moneywise (I am very very old and was a student in the days of fees paid by the LEA, and also received a maintainance grant:beer: ). Actually my room was tidy (ish), but then I am a girly:p which makes a big difference. Oh yes.
