My dad as just passed away and my mother will receive some of my dads British Coal Pension.Please does anyone know what the rate of his pension will be so i can work out the amount my mother will receive each month,i believe it is 2/3 of my dads pension...is this right.

I contacted the Pension Scheme who told me that the rate would be on the forms they sent to my mother to inform them of my dads death,it isn't..

Condolences on the recent loss of your father.

You need to establish which scheme your dad was a member of and then look at the appropriate benefits for a deferred member or a pension member (already in receipt of pension benefits). I've linked here to the two websites - which look similar, but there are subtle differences. Look for the link on the page 'death benefits':

Thanks MikeJones,Ive already found it and i was right,my mother will receive 2/3 rds of my fathers pension.
