Hello.
The editor here. First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to all the lovely people out there who gave me advice up to and including my BR. I went BR in January 2008. The 14th.
As of the 2nd of December, I am no longer Bankrupt!! I got a letter in the first week of December that I only just got as it was sent to the wrong address. Sent back to me unopened.
I was a little angry that the letter had gone unopened - but hey - I've been living like a BR for a year - and will continue to live like I have for the past 12 months for the rest of my days.
Being bankrupt has taught me many valuabe lessons, and if you put the right plans in place and do your research before you do it, it can be mostly painless. That's my opinion and I understand that many others have a tougher time of it.
On the other side of it, I'm so glad I did what I did. I'm thankful that my OR was a levelheaded guy who understood my circumstances and was a very useful sounding board. On several occasions, I phoned up for advice and it was always helpful. Again, I was lucky with that.
This forum has been THE lifeline of the experience. If I ever had any other questions or worries outside of OR office hours I would normally post and have an answer within the hour. Brilliant!
Thanks to all who helped me in my many hours of need. For those who are thinking about taking the BR plunge, you are in the right place! Everyone's experience of BR are different. The rules should always be the same. Somewhere in the middle is BR.
For me it was the best decision I have made in the last 10 years. I move on stronger.
Again, thank you all.
TheEd.
