Cheap Oven

Hey,

I need to buy an electric oven (integrated) for the house I am renting out. I have had a hunt around and have found a Baumatic on Asda Direct for £150 with £18 delivery. Just wanted to check I am getting a good deal and that I am not missing any mega cheap deals out there.

The oven that is being replaced is a stainless steel Baumatic. I am looking for a stainless steel replacement as the hob is stainless steel and it is a new kitchen. As the house is on the market I still want it to look decent.

I live lots of miles away so will need one that can be delivered directly there.

I have had a good look around so not being lazy. Just know that you geniuses know all the tricks for saving the pennies.

Thanks

Most ovens have to be hard-wired by an electrician. Unless you get one below 2kw that is already fitted with a 13 amp plug.

I think comet do one that has a plug, but otherwise you'll have to pay £50 or so for fitting.

its easy enough to do yourself, just turn off the electric and plug red to red etc. took me about 10 mins, and glad I didn't pay, otherwise i would have been so annoyed with myself!
  • I'm going to get a local electrician to fit it - he's reliable and cheap. If it was for me I would just get my dad to do it but as it is for my tenant I want to make sure it's all done 'by the book'.

I reckon it's going to be a couple of hundred pound to get the oven bought and fitted. Bit of a sore one a month in to renting it out but I guess that's the way of it.

    Thanks again.

Baumatic are a good brand, and there after-sales service has been good as well (IME).
