remorgages and deeds discharge fee hike

Hi can anyone give me advice.
This is my first time using this site so please forgive me if i am duplicating any thing thats gone before.
I am currently in the process of remorgaging and have just rec my redemption lett from the Abbey who now want me to pay £225 for a deeds discharge fee. When the morg was taken out 2yrs 2mnts ago is was £99.
After speaking to them today they say there is no way they are going to reduce the amount. They say that as it was notified to their custs last may in their tariff leaflets it stands.
125% increase since i took the morg out, is well above inflation rate!
I have now escalated it in their complaints procedure to level 2, and they say that after that i can go to the ombudsman. (basically they are never going to reduce it)
Any helpful suggestion would be welcome.

Write a letter saying the increase in fee is out of order as there is no increase in admin. Say that you expected a small year on year increase but the sudden increase is unreasonable.
If they reject that ask for a letter of deadlock because you want to take the matter further.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
