Does anyone do this? How much is the starter kit you need to purchase? Is it a good way to earn some extra cash?

I used to do Body Shop at Home, but it was rather seasonal so I now work for another direct sales company whose products are valued all year around.
  • I used to do direct sales ( not Body Shope) however I have found that since the economic decline, people are much more reluctant to part with their cash. Make sure you are 110% sure of everything that is expected of you before you sign up. The people that are trying to get you to sign up will tell you it's great etc,but that is because they will earn money through you.

    Good luck!

    Hiya!
Ive been a consultant for nearly a year now. I joined up after a friend recommended it as id just moved back from uni and was looking for a 'proper job' This was a brilliant way to get some money whilst still looking for interviews etc....but as you can see, ive kept it on even now i have my 'proper job' as i love it so much!
The start-up costs vary with different offers each month...i think January has 2 offers running. The normal cost of the kit is £95. This month you can join for 1/2 price and get the basic starter kit (which still has over £600 of products and business tools)...or pay the full price with an extra bolt on of spring products worth over £100.
All the training is free, and its great fun. You choose how far you want to go with the training, there are various different classes on skin-care, make-up, foot care, general knowledge on products etc but even the basic bronze training will give you loads to be well on your way.
I used to do my parties to get some extra weekend spending money...party on a friday night, and go out after with some drinks and taxi money. A basic party will give you about £60 commission...so for 2 hours work its quite competitive!
At Christmas, i had loads of hosts wanting parties, so i did a couple more than usual...i think about 6 in a month...and that paid for all my christmas presents...and a romantic week away with my boyfriend! Some consultants earn over £1,000 a month....but its up to you how much you want which is the great thing!
I hope thats been of some help to you.
Let me know what you decide to do!
