Outstanding Tax and BR

Hi,

If you go BR while still owing Tax and VAT, is this cleared too?

I've heard the Inland Revenue are treated differently to other creditors?

Any advice would be welcomed

The Inland Revenue are treated the same as other creditors and included in the bankruptcy.

  • Glad about this as I got my tax assessment from the accountants the other day. It runs up until April 08 so I guess anything between then and my BR date (Dec 1st) also gets written off which I assume gives me a pretty robust argument for reducing my payments on account?!
