CSA payment change for unemployment

    Well the amount was changed in the legislation. After seeing some posts on here i was under the impression the higher amount was already being applied.

    As i say maybe a current CSA member of staff could clarify the situation.

    You are correct. The change from £5 to £7 came into effect from 27th October 2008. All new claimants will have this amount deducted from their benefits and all existing claimaints will have had the slight increase.

  • i thought that you still had to pay back payment when you gained new employment due to that fact that even though you were out of work the child still "needed" the amount first agreed to go towards living...just cause your out of a job for the time being doesnt mean the child stopped needed things.And therefore once new employment was gained,you would pay back what you owed for the childs up bringing why you were out of work?
    This is the information given to some of my friends on the occasion this has happened:confused:.

    Certianly will be shortly. Its only an extra £1 a week for my DD & his other DD, But its an extra £52 a year into my DD's savings account!
