Quick update to let you all know Fri went fine and I am now officially bankrupt.
A company supplier petitioned my bankruptcy - so thanks to them I did not have to find the £495 fees as I was planning on going BR next month anyway. A barrister approached me outside the court room, introduced himself and said "I take it you are opposing the decision" I replied "no" he looked rather shocked and explained he would have to make some phone calls - don't think he saw that coming lol. We went to see the judge (was in for less than 5 minutes in total), it was very informal - he told me to sit down relax and have a glass of water. He explained he understood I wanted the BR to go ahead asked me to explain the position I was in (I explained that I was planning on going BR next month anyway as had no assets, have lost business and losing house - barrister was writing notes throughout) the judge declared me bankrupt at 2.12pm and wished me luck in the future. He explained an OR would contact me for a face to face interview due to the business/fact it was petitioned against me and told me not to take any loans out lol.
So i'm half way there, not looking forward to OR interview as it will be complex I predict due to business however the court appearance although not nice was simple, quick and no where near as bad as I expected.

 Well done in-the-s,
We don't often hear accounts of BR where someone has been petitioned against. I bet the barrister thought you were going to come up with all sorts of excuses, pleadings and a sob story.
Good Luck with the rest of the journey .........
 Best Wishes
