Letter for Credit Card companies

Hi!

I just wondered if anyone knew of a website that had examples of letters that you could use to send to credit card companies to ask them if they would consider reducing your interest rate?

I don't even know if credit card companies do this sort of thing, but I wondered if it is done by other people if there was some sort of example or template that I might be able to use to try this out myself.

Hi Zeddy,

Do any of your credit cards have zero balances? If so you may be able to negotiate a lower rate if you tell them you are closing your account. It worked for me with Barclaycard, I just phoned them up and told them I wanted to close and they put me through to customer loyalty who reduced my rate straight away.
