As of 1 January, the standard domestic unit price is 15.81p per kwh including VAT at 5%. Comparing that with the ESB unit price is more useful, I reckon, than the average monthly bill. It all depends on how much you use.
Bear in mind that gas is only available in the Greater Belfast area; nearly everybody else depends on heating oil (you can check prices at www.cheapestoil.co.uk).0 -
Phoenix gas prices inc VAT
6.208p per kwh for the first 2000 kwh
4.132p per kwh for the rest
as far as I know they are the only supplier in most of NI. Many parts of NI have no natural gas supplier at all. To see where Phoenix serve see this website http://www.phoenix-natural-gas.co.uk/natural-gas/is-natural-gas-available-in-my-street/0 -
