used my last one today again no prob, must just be your local stores policy otherwise thay would be block and wouldn't scan, good luck trying at another store![/quote]
Yep, the Store manager mentioned is definitely wrong. There has been nothing posted anywhere I have seen about any change in the national policy - but some stores now just won't allow magazine or newspaper mocs unless you buy the product.
If a store ever says something that they claim to be 'national policy' it usually isn't. Invariably it's just their own policy, if it's anything different than 'no limit, one of each of any nss/in-date/scannable coupon'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Used lots of coupons with no probs at all this week, but SA did come over to me at self-scan yesterday.I had used £2.30 Delicious and a handful of internet ones plus the Sun coupons on a £17 shop, she opened up the machine and removed them in order to examine them closely, they were all fine and she thanked me for not abusing the policy, she apologised for the inconvenience but said she had been told to check as many peoples coupons as she possibly could, in order to put an end to coupon abuse at self-scan.Shopped 3 times in the last 7 days, as had a few due to expire at the end of Jan ,and have managed to use £24.95 worth of coupons , making almost £50 for the month of January, great start to the year....and to make it a good start for next week received a sample of Purina and a £3 moc today.
I've had an excellent start to the year coupon-wise as well - used over £165 worth of coupons in January:j against a spend of approx £265 - well in excess of my 50% target!0 -
I did a few shops in Mr T's to maximise my coupons the other day and only the third one had any problems. Cashier wasn't sure about my internet coupons (compeed and ryvita) so called superviser, who called another superviser, and they all huddled around my coupons examining closely.
They were quite apologetic about it really and explained that they are sent lists of coupons not to accept on a daily basis and it's difficult to keep up with what's blacklisted and what's not. They got a special book out and my coupons weren't listed there so they said if they scanned ok I could have them. They scanned just fine as I knew they would. I was pretty unflappable and unembarrassed throughout the whole thing as I knew my coupons were kosher and not photocopied or dodgy etc. Just felt sorry for the poor sods in the queue behind me lol.
I suppose it's a bit naughty splitting your shopping into lots of smaller shops in order to use up a pile of brides magazine mocs etc, but needs must at the moment! They do get their money back on the mocs after all. This month I have saved at least £70 and have a fully stocked food cupboard and freezer for the first time in ages. Will be trying for a no-spend week now to use it all up!
Thanks everyone. :T2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -
So Far This Year I Have Used £200.54 In Coupons. I Go Shopping Once Per Day Every Day, 7 Days A Week. I Only Set Myself A Target Of £20 Per Week But Ive Certainly Outdone That. Most Days It Works Out I Only Spend 20p/30p. So Looking At It That Way A Whole Months Shopping Has Only Cost About £9.00.
I Am Very Lucky With Both My Local Tesco Stores They Both Take Upto 10 X Coupons Without A Problem. (if Only All Stores Were This Happy And Accomadating)
I Hope This Weeks Sun Newspaper Has More Tesco Coupons.

Hi , I've had a pretty good month too, I thought I might struggle on the coupon front once both the Mitchums stopped in T's at end of last year but have been pleasantly surprised at the number of fairly high value Moc's around, compeed, purina £4.49 x 2 etc also received a sample of Purina and a £3 moc like Bullshot mentioned earlier so a great start to the year so far :beer:0 -
It might be coincidental, but on the day (today) my local store stopped accepting internet coupons the store was virtually empty.0

Mad was in T's late today and mooched over to where the bread was. There was only three crusty loaves left. Then Mad felt a shove from the back and this old trout had the lot, all three loaves and Mad only wanted one
To top it off she grinned:D at Mad as she wheeled away with the said products in her trolley.
Bet she was grinningat the checkout when she realised someone had swiped them all. Only wanted one, but hey had some MOC's to dispose of!

We were in one of our local stores today an the internet coupons went through fine, even ones that needed typin in so lets hope it's not a national policy coming in to force and only local stores decidint to go that way.Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one.
