All I wanted was the link to print out the coupon! No-one seems prepared to post it, but it seems you text each other with this info??
You then jump in to tell me using more than one a day is termed "abusing the policy" - but there is no mention of this in Tesco's policy you reprint for me - so what was the point in posting it?
And there is no argument that they are abusing the coupons conditions, and ripping off the coupon issuers is there?
Hi Quentin, I also thought you had been away as I haven't noticed any posts for a while.
I am a little confused as to why you ask for this link when you believe that using coupons is abuse. Anyway as stated in a previous post, there is no link as the coupon is not in the on-line version. Anyway the paper only costs about 40p and as suggested by Princess Coupon, you can buy a load with other PDF's anyway. It doesn't seem worth the risk of loosing the policy for the sake of saving 40p?
Also Coupon-Mad and I are friends and have been for almost 10 years, and we frequently text each other in case one of us hasn't yet had time to come on here. These are just alerts of which Newspapers and Mags to buy, not links to coupons. Not sure I would know how to do that anyway.
This post is not meant to be argumentative or inflammatory so I hope you don't take it that way.“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0 -
Why are you all answering him, its totally pointless seeing as he has turned into a troll

Well Quentin your right Tesco are fleecing the manufacturer but Tesco are not me, and I'm sure the manufacturers know they'd be pretty stupid not too.
The use of iffy coupons: I try my best not to use them, but I have used screenshots in the past, I don't care if Tesco get their money back but if non redemption means they may stop the policy then this does bother me so I agree with Vegiecar it's best to use ones redeemable by T's for your benefit not theirs.
I do 2/3 shops in the same store in succesion this is because I go once every 2 weeks due to the distance, I do a non refrigerated shop put it in the car go to the cafe have a coffee feed the baby then do a refrigerated shop. It is correct that it does not state in the policy 1 coupon shop per day so I have no qualms about doing it, if the store I go to advised me that it was frowned upon then I would take OH and get him to do the 2nd shop by himself or go weekly instead of fortnightly.AKA: PC

Glad to know you miss me when I'm not around!
I want to use the coupon - and (seemingly wrongly) assumed that as it had been posted in this thread it was available to be printed.
I do believe that the supermarkets are abusing the manufacturers when they encourage us to use them in lieu of cash (more profit for the supermarket at the expense of the manufacturers).
My reason for referring to the whole issue as abuse is because some people keep referring to people making hay with the coupons as abusers! Hypocritical or what? How can anyone abuse something that is itself an abuse?0 -

I said notice not miss LOL:rotfl: No seriously, I take your point about abuse, but I think when people go on about abuse on here, what they mean is going against Tesco rules and therefore risking the policy. I think we need to come up with another term to avoid this confusion. Any suggestions?“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0 -
Not really - only that those that get upset when they learn that some "thrash" the coupons (eg by using more than one a day - not in any way against anything in the Tesco stated policy) should learn to live and let live (rather than deliver pious lectures on "every action has a reaction" etc!)

You're right, it doesn't say anything in the policy about going thru more than once a day. But what it does say is one of each coupon in each transaction, why would they bother to say that if they just expected you to go thru the checkout 2 or 3 times. If that was the case surely they would just allow you to use more than 1 of each at a time.
Also a number of people have reported that their Tesco don't like this and people have even been banned for doing it. I wouldn't do it as I don't want my Tesco to withdraw their policy, I just hope that no one else is doing it at my local Tesco.“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0 -

As I have stated I do do 2 shops in one day but only every fortnight, and don't consider it abuse. There are some who would go in and out all day with the same £5 pile of PDF's not an abuse of the exact letter of the policy but definately an abuse of the spirit of it.AKA: PC

Many of the moneysaving tips we get from here are down to exploiting policy loopholes.
Making more than one visit in a day to a supermarket doesn't come close to some of the other loophole exploitation we are encouraged to do to save money!0 -

You gotta have a larf:rotfl:
I'm not sure if I have been elevated the status of a pious lecturer now tho!only that those that get upset when they learn that some "thrash" the coupons (eg by using more than one a day - not in any way against anything in the Tesco stated policy) should learn to live and let live (rather than deliver pious lectures on "every action has a reaction" etc!

Oh no....it can't be me....I'm not upset!!:rotfl:
There does seem to be a recurring theme tho!...How can anyone abuse a policy that is itself an abuse? And there is no argument that they are abusing the coupons conditions, and ripping off the coupon issuers is there?I do believe that the supermarkets are abusing the manufacturers when they encourage us to use them in lieu of cash (more profit for the supermarket at the expense of the manufacturers).
ok... here's my attempt at a "pious lectures on "every action has a reaction" etc!"
As of today my local Tesco will now, no longer accept coupons for papers or magazines,UNLESS you buy the magazine, even tho' they stock it.
oops! I failed to lecture:p.. I merely stated a fact:eek:....draw your own inferences from it;)
As for the recurring theme above....
You also can't bully a bully then...?:rotfl:
Or perhaps you can't lie to a liar...?:rotfl:
Maybe 2 wrongs DO make a right!:rotfl:
I, too, will probably "notice" when you are not on the thread Quentin.....LOL
For the record....I think that the manufacturers get much better product placement advertising with me, through using MOCs, than they do on the millions of pounds they spend on TV advertising.
I will often also try the product, which I would otherwise never have considered doing. (especially if it is on BOGOF and I can use two coupons against it!!:D), and if I like i, and find it fairly priced, I will continue to purchase it after the promotion has finished! (using a different manufacturers coupon , obviously!!:rotfl:)
The canny companies use marketing strategies to ensure that they know the maximum amount that any advertising campaign will cost them..e.g...maximum number of couponnet prints allowed to be printed.....maximum number of papers sold.....
Those that give out official PDFs from their website have no way of controlling this cost, and ultimately refuse to honour them at the clearing house. Resulting in policy changes (at the Manager's discretion) in store.
Individual's knowingly tendering coupons that the supermarket cannot redeem, can only hasten the tightening of policies.
Asda have now, however, started accepting coupons, once again, without purchasing the item; as they have evidently lost a lot of revenue from it.
And that my friends is not a lecture, merely the opinion of a seasoned coupon user.:j
Have a nice day, and happy couponning (by whatever method you feel comfortable with!;))It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
