Supermarket Food Prices

We were travelling around the big 3-4 supermarkets over the weekend (tesco, asda, morrisons, sainsburys) looking for best prices for baseline items of food... this got me wondering if such a web site exists that shows today bargains noticed by others .. example tesco are pricing item x at price y for today and tomorrow etc.. this not only helps point the car in the right direction but allows us all here to share our findings on that particular morning shop or whatever... others can then see this offer and maximise on the availability... any ideas of such web site etc?.. notably food as this is the baseline need...?

https://www.mysupermarket.co.uk allows you to compare between Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and Ocado.0

i know people could read through several posts here but its likely something that needs keeping seperate to discounted lawnmowers etc!!. sort of a location that cover the basic trolley food items and so on?... maybe theres such a dedicated web site and really ease to just quick pop in from a browser or even on a mobile phone?..0

yes i saw my supermarket but thats more like a comparison site... was thinking if theres anything that is more simple and where people had just returned from a store and saw a real great bargain.... and want to tell others simple and quickly0

As far as i know theres nothing like that but mysupermarket is your best bet0

This part of the site is called "Quick! Grabbit while you can".
I urge new posters to take note of this and put their messages in the right place.
This thread is a waste of time in this place and just clogs up the system.
Thank you.0 -
Yeah the Quick, Grabbit ..... forum section is good for quickie bargain finds, and also HotUKDeals does something similar. MySupermarket is good, but doesn't include the discounters, and as they haven't online shopping web sites, it's virtually impossible to find their prices online. What's badly needed is a list of current prices of a few hundred basic products in all the discounters.0

hi phyllis,
why is this thread in the wrong location?... i was referring to grab bargains as such0 -

i like frugals idea... if someone could suggest the correct forum area i will put a post there asking for items to include... i will then make the effort to poll the web to see what may be there on offer.. sound like a plan?0
