Just to let you know that I told my partner of my financial difficulties. I took your advice and was positive, although I didn't tell him the full extent, and that I was dealing with it. He was really good about it and has been very supportive. It is such a relief. He's fine about changing accounts and understands that there may be a few calls and letters, but that I will deal with these.
I'd just like to thank everyone for the kind words of help, support and encouragement. It really helps.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

Lelc, that's brilliant! Well done for having the courage to tell him and to be clear that its your problem to deal with. I'm sure he really appreciates that you are making steps to deal with things and this will make it easier for him to support you. It must feel great to have that burden off you of always being secretive, a huge relief! You are an inspiration to the many on here who are struggling to find ways to tell their partners.
Best of luck and keep posting!
