12 cans of Whiskas Cat Food £4 (33p per can)

Just having a browse around MySupermarket.com and I noticed 12 cans of Whiskas for £4 at Asda, that works out at 33p per can. That seems cheap to me. I've checked Asda web site and it's available there, but not sure about instore. Can't vouch for the taste personally either! :D

  • Here's a link to the offer on MySupermarket. Looks like it's only the Chunks in Jelly variety but with mixed selection: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?Store=2&Product=28756

The cans are are available instore, but as you say they didn't have any gravy ones.
  • I was working out how many 12 packs I'd need to buy for 1 years (12 months) food for my cat. So my cat eats half a can per day so it would be 15 packs (12 x 15 = 180) thats £60. For a 1 can a day cat it'd be 30 x 12 packs thats £120. I wonder are there any customer quotas restricting multiple purchases? The only other snag I can think of is Best Before dates, could check them in store, but I think cat food lasts for a year or more anyway. Bulk buying would be a good way to lock in the savings.

I got this in store last week as a treat for my cats who normally get supermarket own brand. BUT it's smells awful!!! Way more then their normal (morrisons) cat food - so just check what you think of the smell before you buy a year's supply!
  • That's true emujuice. It would make sense to buy just 12 cans now, try it out on the cat, then buy the rest at the end of the week. I never buy Whiskas, only own brand (usually Lidl Coshida) and I was thinking this would be an upgrade. I'm not sure now!
