Cheap disposable cameras

I thought this as well, as I am going to make my own invitations I thought I could cover them in a similar style. It can't be too hard surely....I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

wolfehouse - i dont think there is a disposable digital camera, however there are companies that rent out digital cameras for special events. I haven't looked into it, as we are going with disposables, but i suspect it might be pricey.0

Confetti have cameras which expire end Jan for £1 each in a nice pearlescent plastic (their new ones are all cardboard and less attractive - in my opinion). I read previously - and it may have been on this forum of someone else who bought expired ones from Confetti and they came out absolutely fine. My do is at the end of Feb - so I'll try to remember to let you know how they come out. I am fortunate to have a number of professional/semi professional photographers as guests so I should get some decent pics aside from the disposable cameras. To be honest, they were a relatively cheap way of filling the gaps on the tables!0

P.S. probably slightly off the thread but the House of Fraser Outlet shop in Swindon is selling Villeroy and Boch Deco style glass/crystal candle holder as seconds for £2.50 each compared to £15 they should cost. They look fine to me.0

(i'm afraid of the cost of printing the photos, not the cost of buying the cameras.)
Although there isn't a disposable digital camera it can work out cheaper to buy one or even two of the cheaper digital cameras than buying disposable cameras and paying for all the prints.
I used to be a lab technician for a Jessops photo lab and I would often feel sorry for the brides coming into collect their disposable camera prints. There was often, at best, only 2 or 3 prints from each camera that were usuable. Also, be wary, as with some of the really cheap disposables the film actually splits and breaks (even when in date) making it impossible to get out of the canister.
At least with if you buy a cheap digital camera to hand around you can just print the pictures that you like (and much for much less than film!) and you still have the camera afterwards to use again or sell on.
I think having the disposable camera on each table is a nice idea, and some may end up with good results, but more often than not they are an expensive disappointment imo.0 -
I thought I might put a couple of envelopes on each table, with a blank CD rom in it and a SAE, asking guests to burn us a copy of any pics that they took with their digital cameras. Either that or a nice card asking them to email them to us.
I'm too worried about the quality of the disposable ones to risk them really.0 -
Thats a great idea minxy-bella! I'm sure you'll get a good variety of snaps and lots to choose from
