Upgraded to Abbey visa electron and not discharged yet!!

I went BR in May last year. At the time my Abbey Basic account got frozen for about three days then ''released'' again. Since BR I have been using my new Coop Cashminder account and the balance at Abbey has floated at around £3. With rubbish debts/financial situation before the BR I certainly don't have an attractive credit rating at all, so when i recently paid in a cheque at my Abbey branch and the girl at the desk told me that i need to upgrade my account to get a Visa electron card.... I chuckled and told her 'the computer would say no'....No harm in trying she said so I filled in the forms and this week my new Visa Electron card arrived. :j
