Can anybody out there please help.
My boyfriend is currently in a lot of debt, though he is doing everything he can to sort it out (going through CCCS) and has set himself a monthly budget (which I then changed !!). Anyway, I suggested he change is mobile phone to pay as you go as I have some O2 sim cards that he can use, trouble is he has just been on the phone to his current network who say he can not leave them until July. Apparently he has entered a 'verbal agreement'. When he mentioned that he had not signed anything the woman said that he was sent T&Cs and given 14 days to cancel. What I wondering is since he hasn't actually signed anything is he actually still tied to them until July like he has been told?

How long has he had the contract for? Is it over 12/18 months?
If so he can cancel at any time with (normally) 28 days notice.
Unless he upgraded his handset at the end of the year, then he would be tied in for a further 12/18 months.0 -
As mentioned above if he is within the 12 months the only thing you can do is ask to change to a cheaper package. Take advantage of text bundles if he uses them!
Oh yeah and I know with T-mobile that if you pay by direct debit it is something like £3 a month cheaper!0
