Leaving civil service - what happens to my pension?

Hey all
Next month I will be leaving the civil service to work elsewhere. I have had a civil service pension since I joined 5 years ago. I'm 26.
What happens to it when I leave? Does it get frozen? Is is transferable? Can I still pay in even though I won't be a civil servant?
If it's frozen then how do I go about looking for a new one (I don't yet know if my new employer has an open pension scheme!)?
I apologise for my lack of knowledge on the pension front.
Thanks in advance

Either. You can leave it there until you retire or have it transferred to a new scheme.

If you leave it there it will increase by RPI every year.0
