How do you work out income for the form when you are self employed, my husband is a self employed brickie and last month his wages dropped by a nearly a half and this month is going to be bad as well, he goes br 13 th feb.
As his wages are up and down how do we put it on the income section.

Hi NIDA
Work out the average earnings (after costs) over the three months before your court date, and don't forget to allow for tax/national insurance. Are you doing the forms online? I filled them out by hand, so it was easier to put little notes in, but if you are doing it online and it doesn't allow you put "average" in the relevant box, put a note in (either on a separate piece of paper, or in the bit for additional information) explaining how you reached that figure, detail the previous three months' income month-by-month, and include your estimated figure for the next few months' income.
Hope that helps.

As his br date is on the 13 th feb, does he have to go back to the 13th of november or does it have to run with the 5th of every month to tie in with the tax year starting and beginning on the 5th.0
