SKY deals/ packages and new house...

Hello all,

I've tried looking for the most appropriate place to put this so I hope it's ok!!

I will shortly be moving to a new house and want Sky+ installed. As it stands I know there is a BT line installed but it's not active as property has been vacant for sometime.

I have been able to find their 3 month deal with Broadband and Talk but wondered if their were any other deals. I'd even look at other providers but as I want Sky1 (24!) I believe it has to be Sky as Virgin isn't available here. I will obviously need broadband (on mid package at moment) and home number.

Can I activate a BT line through them with their line rental, or will it have to be with BT first?

Finally, on a more cheeky note, two things. I have a spare Sky+ box: would the engineer install that for me in a separate room (bedroom) as my magic eye signal sender isn't the greatest. Also I was looking at getting a HD box, but only if I could turn off the HD subscription bit after a month and therfore be left with freeview HD. Any of this possible?

Obviously I'm with Sky at moment but have seen very little incentitive to be honest with them and just tell them I'm moving - better to start again (easily, new name will be at new house!)

Quite a few questions there!

Sky can put a new line in for you, esp if you are in there LLU area. Can have the broadband from them as well. About the extra Sky+ box if you pay for the multi-room and pay for the installation charge yes he can fix it up for you.
