Hi all,
Going to court on Monday to pick up forms for bankruptcy. Once i have filled them out (im expecting this to take a while!) do i just stroll into court and hand them in? Is this when i pay the court charges? Any ideas how long it will take for my case to be 'heard'?
And then time between being in court to having affairs scrutinised by OR??
Any advice appreciated.

no need to fetch from the court, simply register online and start building the forms.
print off when finished
phone court for a time/date for BR
you pay on the day
OR usually contacts you within a week, simple cases by phone only
i would advise you to copy the order and send all creditors and DCA's a copy, but thats your choice.0 -
Some courts offer a walk in service however I think most of them require an appointment.

oh yeah the other thing is that is is 50 times easier to fill in the forms online and as you go it tells you which is complete then come and go as you wish (we took 3 weeks doing them bit at a time cpl hrs week) and at the end you get to do a draft before confirming it all totally secure and confidential log in anywhere and do a bit lol
then print off 3 copies for each person going br and take them to your drop in / appointment

I found filling in the forms by hand easier. I didn't want to worry about my computer crashing/not being able to log in or their site going down - which happened recently.

This is the info for the forms on line. It's from the Bankruptcy Help sticky at the top of the board. This is a very useful resource and a must read.
