I am looking for an upholstered headboard for a double bed. I want a modern style one in a neutral material, I can't find one for less than £210. I don't want to spend that much. £150 max.
Any ideas where to look other than Laura Ashley.

Or do what I did. Buy a very expensive bed (!) and then a headboard from a charity shop. Quick trip to John lewis for some pricey fabric. Cost 28 pounds for duck egg blue embroidered with cream cherry blossoms, and now it's STUNNING.
Total cost of headboard 38.00. Fabulous designer look!0 -
Used staple gun borrowed from school (I work there, don't attend there!)0

Yep I did a similar thing...Wanted the headboard to match my new curtains, freshly decorated bedroom & new bedding.
Couldn't for the life of me find the 'right one' - needed choc brown.
So eventaully saw / bought a kingsized (pink fabric) headboard reduced in my local bed shop £45 bought another set of curtains £25 (like the one's I'd already got in my new bedroom) Used one curtain panel to cover the headboard (staple gun a must) then used the remaining other curtain panel to make a large bolster pillow and two little ones.
Finished bedroom looks amazing even though I do say so myself...! :Tzanneone...:dance:0
