RW means you can write to the disc many times. So say you burned 4.3gb of data and you want to use same disc and go over than you can. Or burn smaller amounts and keep adding like a old floppy disc but obviously larger size
See above your post.

Popped into my local branch and found a ex display (never used) Canon laserjet b&w printer, complete just no box for £19.97.0

Viper1 - most of the printer manufacturers don't make their big money from the sale of the printer itself. It's the ink cartridges where they charge a fortune and make the big bucks.
Got a Dell printer for free once and it's still in the box, because the ink was so expensive.
I'd advise people to look into how much it will cost to run rather than just the cost of the printer.

thanks for the info, my thinking was it so cheap it can be binned after a few years. I don;t print alot so hopefully it will last a few years. Once the toner needs replacing probably just go and find another cheap printer! :rolleyes:0 -

Canon do not make LaserJets HP do.
£20 for a Canon or HP laser printer is cheap.
Toners for laser printers can be expensive though Canon and HP ones are cheaper than others. There are also compatible toners that can be as cheap as £15 from places like Euroffice etc.
Toners can also be refilled cheaply in stores like cartridge world and on-line.
Might be worth checking the store and finding out the make and model so you can confirm it is a laser printer and what toner refils / replacements will cost.Seth.0
