Well ,I survived my first morning back at work:j :j :j
It was followed by a Look Good Feel Better session held in my local Maggies Cancer Centre. What a fantastic way to spend 2 hours,we were each given a goodie bag containing make-up remover,cleanser,toner,concealer,make-up base, foundation, powder, blusher, eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil, mascara and a bottle of perfume!WOW! And they are all full sizes! Some Estee Lauder,Nivea,Simple,Lancombe,MF,Loreal and of course Boots NO7! My perfume was Lovely by SJP:j
The class is run by volunteers for the charity Look Good Feel Better who were all beauty consultants and make-up artists and they showed us all how to apply our make-up.
It was lovely to see the transformation on the ladies who have lost their hair, eyebrows and eyelashes when they had experts do their make-up.
So for the other ladies on here who have been diagnosed with cancer, have a look and see if there are sessions local to you.I believe its open to any woman with a cancer diagnosis in the previous 3 years.
Slightly off topic I know, but I did get No7 Loose powder and the green make-up base:rotfl:
Thanks to everyone for the good wishes.
Great to hear your news Jill xx:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
I had a bit of a wander (as one does
) through the local today & spotted some sanctuary stuff on clearance.
I was in there faster than a bat out of hell :rotfl:
It was all the new ranges that came out in the summer (Metsito/Zibu & Kuan Jim or however they're all spelt)......
Reduced to £1.37:eek:
Apparently, these are now only going to be available in larger stores
Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.

:rotfl: Thank you
I'm so daft sometimes
I will take the bottle with me on my next visit and get the exact shade. I love the photogenic luminessence foundation so if they haven't got that one in my shade, I'll have to leave it
I can't afford to try out ones that will be a dodgy shade or I won't like :rotfl: Not with lancome anyway
I agree I like that one but here is what I did (typical MSE/Bootser style)
They didn't have my colour and I was obviously a previous customer because I had the empty bottle so she offered to try it on me so I had the full make up done.
I said I wasn't sure because of the lighting and mentioned that they gave my friend (imaginery friend of course:rotfl: :rotfl: ) a small sample to try at home in my own lighting and she gave my a small pot of the new one to try.
Might be worth a try x x :T actually might be worth a try if you do buy your normal one and fancy trying out another one:o:happyhear YUMMY MUMMY TO HENRY BEAR AGED 10:happyhearslimming world need to get back to target 25lb to goDisney World here we come May 2018:j0 -

Hello I just looked on the first post but cannot see anything. Please does anyone know when the 3 for 2 on NO7 runs out and also when they are stopping giving out blinkies. Thanks.0
-
re getting blikies with giftcards.
DD1 got a giftcard for her birthday but didn't want anything from Boots so I said I'd buy it off her. I've found useful to maximise blinkies, I split my shopping and pay for one shop over £5 of course by giftcard getting a blinkie and the second shop again over £5 with cash getting another blinkie. I know some SA's are more than happy to split you shopping to maximise blinkies but I've also heard people feeling uncomfortable asking because the odd SA huffs and puffs about it.
OFF TOPIC - i saw something on tv a couple of weeks ago saying that wigs are really fashionable at the moment because people want to change their hair style so often and things like extensions are really expensive and high maintenance. Hopefully this will make a wider choice of wigs for the people out there that need wigs.0 -
Glad your 1st day went ok dotchas and you got lots of goodies and had a nice time at your makeover.

I know this is a long shot but i have some 250 point no 7 vouchers that run out 27/1 and was wondering if anyone has any ending the end of march they would swap? Im not sure if i can use them before the 27th as im totally skint and oh inconveniently gets paid on the 28th.

I'm trying to get back into my bootsing again, I havnt been around for ages for obvious reasons. Still have some very dark days. They have been lightened a little though with our lovely news that I'm 16 weeks gone with baby #3 who will be here at the beginning of July (bad timing, Thomas's 1st anniversary will be 25th June!)
So have to get back to bootsing and get stocked up on nappies and everything else we're gonna need! build my points back up too.
Sorry for being off topic, will pm next time. Just wanted to say a proper Hi. You were all so wonderful to me when Thomas and my mum died.

Hi Jill, I haven't posted on this board for ages (trying to be a good money saver) but I around here a lot last year and just wanted to say that you sharing your good news has really brightened my day. Huge congratulations to you, it is so deserved after the hard time you've had.
And just think of all those Boots baby bargains.....;)
