What happens if you're too ill to attend court?

Hi
Just wondering - if you have booked your hearing and have all the paperwork in order, but are too ill to attend, what would happen?
Would you have to cancel and wait until you were better or would there be another way around it??
I am aware a creditor can make you bankrupt without your attendance at court, so could that apply to a debtor bankruptcy?
I can't find any info about this anywhere!

I think you would need a very good reason not to appear in court, such as a doctor's sick note.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I think you have to reschedule Dorothy, you can't do it without attending. If you're likely to be too ill long term you can give someone power of attorney to attend on your behalf.
A creditor can make you BR in your absence but they have to turn up themselves, an judge cannot do it with no-one there.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Plus creditors take an age in taking you to court.:cheesy: K2nga :cheesy:
