Need to winge - BR woes!

This morning I received a letter that really topped off what's been a crappy few months. Don't get me wrong, going BR in Nov 08 was the best thing and even though things have been a bit rough since I don't regret it...... but boy, do I need to have a moan:mad:
I'm self employed with one home educated child. One supposed to be living at home anyway.............. cos of that, I rely on tax credits to top up my income, I mean really rely on it Anyway, my claim 'lapsed' as apparently I didn't return the form (I did). Appealed and thought everything was ok - didn't really chase it up as my mum died in June 08 so had all that to deal with. In the meantime, I'm also fighting the council for repairs to my property - I mean real chest infection, asthma agravating damp issues - really making me ill. Tax credits then stopped and generated an overpayment - £3000 just at the time my financial house of cards is about to come crashing down. Tried arguing but no go and TBH I really didn't have the energy for it. Bright idea, I put it into my BR. Ok, I'll lose payments but I'm having to start again with everything sooooooooo Made a new claim but can't be paid cos don't have a bank account. CB stops cos I'm having to find a new account. By this time my only income is maintenance from my ex plus whatever I make from my business.......The rest of November comes and goes - December, a high spot for my retail business and paypal who process my payments decide to freeze my account with £500 in it. The OR asks them to release it, they say no, not for 180 days. Now my financial situation is dire, still I'm still selling for Christmas so my partner opens a new paypal account for me to use so I don't miss out on the biggest selling period of the year. Fast forward to January, my maintenance is paid into a frozen account, my CB is still on hold despite me informing them of the new account details over 3 weeks ago, business has gone quiet and to cap it all, Tax Credits now say I'm under investigation. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing to hide but I just need some income................. During all this the council have refused to act, my rent arrears have increased as I'm not entitled to HB and CTB (apparently Tax Credits are taken into account as income even if they aren't in payment) my asthma is getting worse, Son no. 1 has returned home in crisis, Son no. 2 has had a major trauma over his dissetation and daughter has found herself penniless in Melbourne............ Can it get any better????????
Thanks, feel better now:rotfl:

yes it can and will get better. Hopefully the boys can be sorted without the need for money and you'll find a way to sort your daughter out. A lot of people might say leave her to sort herself out but as a mother, thats impossible to do. Anyway good luck and dont worry about ranting. I found out today that in about 5 or 6 months i may not have a job!:beer:0
