BHS Ballymena> CLOSING DOWN <

SHop is closing down in the Fairhill Shopping Centre Ballymena. I only had a few minutes to spare but I picked up a black pair of school trousers , original price £16...got them for £2.25...there are loads of them and grey too. Well worth a visit...I shall be in again next week....

Every shop that closes is a loss to us all. The impact of job losses will be felt by everyone. I love bargains as much as the next MSE-er but not at the price of other people facing the dole. Don't mean to sound preachy but I'm so nervous about all these closures.

I agree. The products were over-priced and i have no idea who does the buying for BHS but they are in the wrong job. Did you see some of the Xmas stock:eek:

The staff aren't the best either. My mother went in before Xmas to look for school trousers and couldn't see any. She went to a till and asked the SA for help. The SA said 'can't you see any?'. My mother answered no that's why she was asking and the SA shouted across the strore to another member of staff. The other SA shouted back that they were over in the corner and just pointed! Needless to say my mother went elsewhere!
I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)

Thanks for this post happy_gardener. Called in today - says it's the last day and by the look of the store it is. Just some rails with clothes in one corner, the rest of the store has been cleared. Despite this I managed to pick up a skirt for £5 that I nearly paid £18 for yesterday in a lighter shade and a pair of holiday trousers for hubby for £5 as well. Quite amazing since neither of us are average size and are harder to get anyway. :j
