Just a quick update,
We have a moving in date, yeah!!
Saturday 31st Jan we pick our rental keys and move in on saturday & sunday.
Had a draft copy of the rental agreement through, there is no mention of any termination points other than if you dont pay the rent and if you wreck the house.
The letting agent is asking me if i want her to look at our house and put it on the market with them!! danced around it this time, not sure what to say next time!!
The initial rental is for 6 months then as long as everything is ok we can extend for another 6 months or a year or so, is this normal? Dont fancy any credit checks in 6 months to see if we can stay.
So here is to a new house!! By the way im on jury service for two weeks in feb, dreading that.

Hi, sounds like it is all going brilliantly for you and am glad there are no BR clauses or otherwise in the agreement.
Next time the letting agent asks, you could always say that a family member has asked if they could stay in your house for a little while so they will be looking after it for you.
That sounds quite normal, six months first of all and then you will be able to extend it for a longer period if you would like to. They should not do any further credit checks in six months time.
Well done! and Jury Service too! am sure you will cope well with it all.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
