Britax Evolva 1-2-3 car seat-reduced to £50 @ asda instore

Britax Evolva 1-2-3 ultra car seat.
Picked up one of these car seats at my local asda this morning reduced to £50, seems like a bargain. Heres what it looks like,
http://www.mothercare.com/Britax-Evolva-123-Ultra-seat/dp/B00116W992/sr=1-6/qid=1232115491/ref=sr_1_6/275-4593320-7380817?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=44453031&mcb=core

I got the st anton design, there were 2 other colours too. Its a car seat that caters from 9-36kg, so from about 9 months to 11 years.

It was on the sel that it was £50, although the barcode wouldn't scan, so the checkout guy asked me how much it was and he typed it in manually- i could have said anything!!!

This is a very good car seat and at that price is brilliant, although it does not appear to be the ISOFIX version. After dd was in a car accident (minor but made us think) in the britax HiLiner, we bought one of these in the ISOFIX version and dd fits in it nicely (dd is a tall but fairly skinny 8 year old) plus she says it is comfortable and the seat does not move at all.

Its not the isofix version as that only comes in the 2-3, whereas this is the 1-2-3, so suitable for younger children too.

The link is for Evolva 1-2-3, not the Ultra.

Was it definitely an Ultra instore as my sister is looking for one?

  • Which Asda was this please? I've sent my husband to have a look after work. We need two, one for our car and one for my mum and dad's. That would be a serious bargain if we can get one for £50!

No car seats in our local store at all.

Going by the britax website. the 123 ultra and 123 are the same seats. Looks like some websites use the ultra in the name and some dont.
New colours for 09 have come out on the seats so reductions can be found on the 08 colours - although none close to £50!
