Worse that a kid waiting 4 Xmas!!

Options
I'm soooo impatient!! ;):D:D:D

I had car accident 15mths ago (not my fault btw), and finally the insurance of the third party has seen sense and have offered a settlement!
but the money has to be paid into the Court Fund and then my solicitor has to apply for it..then the court will issue the money to the solicitor and then she will send me a cheque for that amount!

A simple thing made complicated as per usual!

Anyway, the good news is I will be receiving £9.5k :j :j :j

So the plan is to pay my £5700odd debt off making me debt free  :j

I have worked out I will have £3500 spare Woohoo!!!

Some is going on new kitchen (doing it the cheapest way of course ;))....replacing cupboard doors, worktop, sink taps, lino and new oven and hob (had a fire in old one about 6 mths ago  :o ). So I've allocated about £1k for that.

But the waiting is killing me!! :o:o but I can't wait to finally be debtfree!

    Thanks :D

In the accident my car was written off (which the insurance has already replaced :)), and I injured my shoulder, which I've had physio for, still not painfree but livable. I wasn't able to work due to my injury (i'm a hairdresser) so majority of the settlement was for 9mths loss of earnings.

Also just found out that our council housing is being taken over by housing association in july and on their list of 'promises' is to upgrase everyones kitchens/bathrooms etc within 3 yrs...so now I'm thinking whether to do ours!;)
  • hi hope your feeling ok
just to let you know we live in council property and have just had the new kitchen designed its really nice so if i were you i'd hold onto that cash for a little while to wait and see the design of the new kitchens i'm sure you'll be glad you did!!

congrats on being debt free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! soon
