I was very lucky and entered a competition I came across and won it! Then I got hooked, found MSE and it took me a couple of months until my next win!!
Oh and well done Doodygirl!! hope it's the first of many :j:hello:0 -
I started comping mid Feb last year, was only entering a few then while I tried getting my head around the forum. I must have been really lucky cos about a week later received a call to say I'd won meet and greet tickets to see Westlife
I think it was only the 4th or 5th comp I'd entered:eek:. Have won lots of other fantastic prizes since but the first win is always the best.0 -
I started comping mid last year.... and it took me about 6 weeks to get a decent win. I think it is all down to luck (other than in the case of tie breakers) and the best thing you can do is not dwell on what you didn't win.... and just keep entering!Best wins: Luxury weekend in Russia, family holiday to France, catered BBQ for 20, Selfridges shopping spree, jolly to Majorca, £1,000 See Tickets vouchers, £500 John Lewis vouchers, five-star weekend in Provence!

I won within about 2 weeks of comping - looking back it wasn't the best thing ever but I was so excited about that first winning email
:D
You need to remember though that the majority of comps end 1 month after they appear on websites. Then you might have to wait another couple of weeks before they email you or just send the prize out. As an example, my Mum entered a competition in November and just found out this week when it was received through the post.
Factoring that in, I wouldn't expect too much for the first 6 weeks but then you should hopefully start to see wins coming in.0 -
A couple of weeks too. I started in Oct 2008 and won around the second week of November.Competion Wins 2008 - £1700 - 2009 £5300
2010- £6800 -
About 2 weeks, and then I had 3 or 4 wins within the next week.0
