OR Interview

Afternoon all,
we have our OR interview booked for 3rd Feb. I have spoken to the lady twice and she seems quite pleasant. I am now so nervous that she will want too many details I can't give her. I mean lets face it, when you start using cc to pay cc and live off then it is all pretty much a blur! I was sure they would take my car but she says even though they may take the one I have she will say I am actively seeking work and will give me £2000 for a replacement. She is also pretty sure there will be no IPA (even though both our soa's were wrong:rolleyes: ) How much do they really expect you to know about what went where?

That sounds very positive oggly - how soon after your BR did the interview get arranged?

We went BR on 13th Jan, OR rang on 14th Jan then again to arrange interview today(16th)
If we were to have BRO/U put upon us what is the purpose? Is it so that we cannot get credit again until it is lifted? I never want credit again as long as I live! If it is because we got into debt irresponsibly is there a responsible way then?0 -
That is fantastic news. Losing my car is pretty high up on my list of worries. It sounds like you are being dealt with very efficiently, which is great to hear. Good for youogglydoggly wrote: »Afternoon all,

From my understanding of it - yes, it is if it was irresponsible, or borrowing knowing that you would not be in a position to pay it back etc. Gambling is something that is frowned upon because of the risk of "reoffending".
The "responsible" way is when peoples circumstances change and they find themselves insolvent as a result and so on.
Good Luck with the interview. I am still waiting to hear from the OR and I was a day before you!

I'm hoping the accountant in bankruptcy will view me as a "responsible" insolvent as I only fell into arrears after a nasty relationship breakdown, and that he'll treat me nicely! Thanks SA, the waiting must be driving you mad! I keep dreaming about SOA's and courts!
We only started to struggle with repayments mostly when interest rates went through the roof pushing up minimum repayments. One cc went from £5 a month to £277! Leaving work to have 2 children was also a factor. Nothing we did was intentional to the creditors.0 -

In a way I don't mind the wait - nothing can be worse than the last few months where I din't have one spare penny and all I did was meet minimum repayments and then use the blessed cards again whenever I needed anything!
I am in a rented flat, with no assets, and only a little Fiat - so there isn't much they can take off me!
Never again.......
