My partner has just come off income support and is looking for employment. I work full time would he be able to claim jobseekers?

Yes, however it comes into the "pointless things to do" if they've not worked for a long time as entitlement to contributions based JSA depends on NI payments from the last two financial years and your income would mean they'd get nothing from income based JSA. If you've a mortgage, it's worth it as mortgage interest payments would kick in after 13 weeks.Conor
