Hello,
Just started my return on-line. Cannot get passed the business description question.
It will not accept carpentry, sole trader or CIS or any variables of.
Can anybody help?
Is it a fault on their part or should I be entering something else?
Any advice to get me going would be appreciated.

What did you enter as the business when you registered? I would have thought carpenter was appropriate.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0

It should accept almost anything in this part of the return. It certainly doesn't check spelling.
As far as I know there are two comstraints. The first is that it is limited to 28 characters (including the spaces between the words) and the second is that certain characters are banned. The excluded characters are only things like the underscore, etc. so shouldn't cause a problem with the descriptions you are entering.If it’s not important to you, don’t consume it0
