Mortgage companies that will let me have a guarantor???

Partner left me 6 months ago, have a 2 year old child and I work 16hrs per week. Have looked at my finances and can afford the mortgage payments on my own. I planned to buy-out ex-partner and my parents are happy to act as guarantor on my mortgage, but when I spoke to Abbey National they say they won't use guarantors anymore. Does anyone know any mortgage companies that will still use guarantors?? Am desperate to get him off mortgage so I can move on with my life and he is happy with that too but hadn't expected it to be a problem with Abbey as parents have paid off their mortgage and are happy to help!

There are several high street lenders that could look at a guarantor scneario for you - however whether or not they are happy to agree the scheme will depend on your circumstances.

Some lenders will place the guarantor on the mortgage deed whilst others will not - the later makes re-mortgaging an easier and cheaper experience.
