Writing a letter of notice?

I'm going to have to leave my current job as a cleaner as my university timetable changes soon and the hours will then clash. I know that I need to give written confirmation of my two weeks notice but I'm not sure what to say. Can anyone help?

There are lots of variations on this but a simple one could be
Dear [title and surname of your manager or HR department manager, eg Ms Brown]
[If you want to explain you can do so - eg My university timetable will be changing and this presents clashes with my cleaning duties.]
I regret that I have to give you two weeks notice of my wish to terminate my employment with [name of organisation], my last day of work to be [date - work out what this will be - for instance if you hand it in on Monday, 19th January, it will expire on Monday, 2nd February.]
