A right old mess !

Ok - here we go.
It's my first time here - and I am absolutely determined to sort myself out.

I created this sorry state of affairs, so it's down to me to work through it all ........ and, by hook or by crook, I will !

These debts are ALL due to gambling.
It's ridiculous, I know.

Does anyone have any advice for where to start ........?

I'm not too good at the SOA stuff, but I thought you might like to have a look at this thread, the gamblers and ex gamblers support thread

Hi, your SOA shows a surplus, do you have money left over each month.

You may find that keeping a spendiang diary helps you to identify where every penny goes.

Well done for posting and admitting how your debt has arisen.

  • You can cover the debt repayments on your current SOA, that is a really great start, and you could overpay by the £105 you have left. Generally, its best to pay off the debts with the highest APR first, that'll be the loan, but there maybe a penalty for paying that off, so the next would be your Barclycard.

But lets see if we can make some more savings to overpay and get rid of those credit cards!

The other thing would be to fill your time (and may I say, without judgment) and energy that you would be gambaling on something else....the upping your income board may be helpful for that, get on topcashback and do daily clickthroughs (I make 25pish a day...sad I know, but every penny helps), and sign up to some survey sites.

Please do get some help with the gambaling!

Really well done on taking this step, its not an easy one. And really good luck!:money:

I have given myself such a hard time over all this
but enough now, it's time for me to just crack on and deal with it bit-by-bit. Put my energies into making it right.
