Phew thank you for the great advice everyone. Chev you have given me tons to think about and am off to try and generate some extra income and get registered for mystery shopping so will come back and respond more fully once I have got those on the go and i have done something proactive.
The snowballing is really interesting as I always pay above the minimum and DH just pays his min payment but snowballing shows we have to get rid of his killer card first.
I have update to a full name and shame my debt sig and am very excited by seeing the figures coming down. We can do this! Thanks for the inspiration and guidance - I wouldn't have known where to start without you allOfficial DFW Nerd Club Member no. 1121 Proud to be dealing with my debts DFD- Nov 2013 Debt at LBM (15/1/09) £32,275 Virgin CC £13/5730 HSBC CC £5862 Halifax CC £5/4078 OH Barclaycard £3835 OH HSBC CC £5894 Overdraft £2000 OH Overdraft 1 £1500 OH Overdraft 2 £1500 Joint AC Overdraft £700 Next PAID:j B&Q £32/541 Homebase £127/567

there is something odd about the maths of your SOA summary
Monthly Budget Summary
Total monthly income.................... 4,125
Expenses (including HP & secured debts). 3,279
Available for debt repayments........... 516
Monthly UNsecured debt repayments....... 503
Amount left after debt repayments....... 13
your inocme is 4,125 and you spending (include mortgage /secured debts ) is 3,279 so available for unsecured debts shoud read
£846 but it actually reads £516
then you spend 503 for unsecured debts which should leave 343 surplus but it reads ony 13.....
I suspect that something went wrong when you redid the SOA..
So according to your actual figures you ought to have a surplus of 343
so either things are better than your think or you have an missing 343 of spending somewhere.. ... worth looking at where this money is going... that spending diary already mentioned may come in here.0 -
Oooh - thank you, I have double checked and it seems to be a surplus rather than unidentified spending. You have theoretically made me £343 so thanks, now I just need to find the actual cash and get snowballing.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no. 1121 Proud to be dealing with my debts DFD- Nov 2013 Debt at LBM (15/1/09) £32,275 Virgin CC £13/5730 HSBC CC £5862 Halifax CC £5/4078 OH Barclaycard £3835 OH HSBC CC £5894 Overdraft £2000 OH Overdraft 1 £1500 OH Overdraft 2 £1500 Joint AC Overdraft £700 Next PAID:j B&Q £32/541 Homebase £127/567
