Have to agree with Numpty Monkey. You never sign a letter like this one, too easy to copy and you could end up deeper in debt. Print it only. Finally dealing with our debts.

15-120 % would be about right if she wants to pay.
Err Ras - that would be 15-20% wouldn't it?
I think I have a letter someshere to one of my clients , from AK, offering to settle for 10%. I'd need to check.
But that would only be if they could prove ownership of a valid debt. Until then, no payment.0 -
Thanks all, I'll draft up a copy of the letter and get my friend to send it recorded with the fee. Hopefully they won't be able to provide the CCA, or if they do that its not enforceable. I'll also get her to ask for a copy of the notice of assignment.0

If your friend is happy to pay, 60% is far too high. As others have said start very low with DCA's - 15% would be a good start. They buy the debts for peanuts so even at 15% they are making a tidy profit.
DCA's have been known to scan/copy signatures onto paperwork - don't trust them!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
