Sharp 52inch TV for £997

Hi found this on asdas direct can anyone tell me is this a good deal, I am looking for a nice good quality TV but dont really know anything technical. Would love some advice pls :confused:

    Standard definition pictures will probably look terrible with a 52" screen, however if you are going to connect it to a Sky HD box it might be worth the investment.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Any ideas on a good TV about a 40-50 inch screen size, what am I looking for spec wise, it for genral family TV. Would love some help.
