ASDA returns policy query

Can anyone share experiences of the way ASDA deal with returns where there's no receipt please?
I have an unwanted Xbox (still new, unopened, boxed etc) given to me for Christmas by a kind relative who didn't know I already had one. She has no receipt, or any other proof of purchase, but she bought it from an ASDA branch in London.
I'm obviously not looking for a full refund, but vouchers to use later would be good.
Has anyone had any success in this situation please?

Not sure about things as big as consoles but ASDA change their returns policy as much as I change my underwear. You never used to be able to return CDs or DVDs AT ALL without a receipt and it HAD to be sealed, now they will accept opened and no receipt as long as the CD doesn't look damaged, scratched or tampered with. Electronics like consoles may be different..0

How did she pay for it? If it was a debit card or credit card, her bank or cc statement might be considered proof of purchase.
And I am assuming you did not open it or use it at all?0 -
