signed on today as usual, (im constantly applying for jobs) anyway they have opened up more rooms at job center to take on the amount of people going there, (i know i got took in one),
i have made a file in which all jobs i apply for is documented with any replys (only 1) any acknowledgement e-mails printed off and now kept in my file. i have also just recieved all info on jobs i have had for the last 15 years (under freedom of info act from hmrc) so that i know all jobs ive had with acurate dates ect for app forms.
i wanted to discuss a few jobs but they didnt have time
i live in the north east.
fed up

And your question is?
I think you might just have to bear with them for now, its a difficult time for everyone, why don't you ask if there is a quieter time of day you can come back and maybe discuss what you want to discuss."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
FWIW, I've just applied for a post for DWP Customer Services. It appears that they're taking on people to cope with the demand.
Like you I feel that they're so busy that the things they used to do, such as give actual advice, has gone by the wayside and at the moment JSA advisors are merely checking compliance with your agreement.Conor

I work in JCP yesterday we had 98 new claims to JSA x that by 6 cos we are having to open saturdays = 588 new claims to just JSA every week!
If you need to speak to someone about your jobsearch try & find out what specialist are in your area to give you that help, we have several companies that provide this service where I work, they are better equiped to do this & can give you the time & help you need. JCP should be able to give you details of whats in your area if can find anything when you next attend to sign.
Did you have to complete a certain form to get your past work history from HMRC, this would be very useful for alot of the customers I see who haven't worked for years & have trouble remembering dates of employment.0
