Ha ha - I think I will be mostly staying in today, I can't even see the bottom of my wheels for snow! Make sure you drive carefully home, its horrible out there xx
  • ooh didnt realise you lived near lakeside! I not been there for ages cos it costs me £3 to get over the crossing and back again now so tend to use Bluewater more ! Prefer Lakeside though I must say !!

No i aint jogging today before anyone asks!
Paul made an interesting point of why the south grinds to a halt when it snows.

Going back to the 70's we used to have approx 6 weeks worth of snow so u could understand local councils spending alot maintaining snow ploughs, gritters and having the contingencies in place and the funding for the above.
As we now only get the odd day every few years it wouldnt be cost effective to have all these resources which would be barely used.
Obv diff scenario up scotland and places where snow falls more often than southern england xxxx

Ha - that's exactly the reason I go to Lakeside and not Bluewater, its a good job the Lush grabbit bags finished yesterday or I might be tempted to venture out ;)

Been no snow here for an hour and a half now...

    Sad faces! :(
