    Hi all

I am loving this thread, and so thought I would come mingle again...

I have just got back from a kids party, with my 2 kids and OH. It was my bessie mates 5 year old DD party, and it was cheaper for her to hire a room and do a load of food, than pay a tenner per child or whatever for a climbing frame type place.

She made far too much food though and so we all had to bring some home with us, and so it looks like we will be living on sausage rolls for a week now...

Toniq - Loving the wedding pics, looks like the dog was the best man.

EssexGal - Thanks for the good wishes - Entry to the comp closed last night but I still can't work out the t&cs, but fingers crossed I win one.

Wokkies - Maybe between your kids and my kids we will win all the kids comps anyway and really cheese off all the "fake kids". lol

To everyone with Prof Layton - I am v jealous, I want one.

I also had a bit of a general wander round MSE last night, rather than just the comp threads and Pigsback and I read about DOOYOO, and joined that last night.

Snow is rubbish in Manchester - Its snowing but not sticking and it just looks like its been raining

  • Took kids to see Kung Fu Panda this morning, cos it was kids club it was really cheap & they loved it.

One kids ticket + one adult ticket + small popcorn + small drink + snack = £4.45

So cost us £8.90 for all 4 of us which I didn't think was too bad really.

DH said to DD at that price we can go more often, think we're going to see Tale Of Desperaux soon then Bedtime Stories is on in March near my birthday.
2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,

Toniq - You used to live v close to where I am then.

Glad theres some Mcr people on here.

I live a couple of minutes away from Old Trafford, and I am literally just up the road from the Trafford Centre - Sadly it's not the ideal place to live if you want to be a money saver.

You can all dig in with the sausage rolls, I am sick of seeing party food already. I need a dog, but as I haven't got any pets I have told the family that I am not making any food for the rest of today, and they will have to just munch their way through what we brought back.

I think it will be cold chicken nuggets for brekkie and lunch tomorrow!:rotfl:

Hi everyone! It's my first venture in here - thought i'd just pop in while cooking dinner.
Anyone got any really GOOD snow? I'm hoping we'll wake up in the morning to a thick covering of snow, and my children are too.
It could mean no school for them and possibly no work for me tomorrow. Plleeeeaaassse. :rotfl:

Loving the trailer trash wedding pics! :D :T

I went to see guns n roses at Old Trafford in about 93 - got chatting to a local lad. I gave him my number & thought no more about it. That was Tuesday - when I got in from work on Wednesday my mum said 'there's some lad from Manchester rung for you he's on a train going to Huddersfield cos he couldn't find one going any nearer and you need to go and pick him up!!' No mobiles then so mad dash to Huddersfield - very odd
