Quick facebook question.
I'm trying to use the chat facility to talk to my friend in New Zealand. Now I know she's online and is on facebook atm, but she isn't coming up on my friends list.
Does she have to download a special program? I can't remember doing that.

evening all! Don't get to post in here much anymore, too busy catching up on the comps. I'm up-to-date for once and want to post some but I'm out of touch! I used to be able to post hundreds but can't remember where I found them now...grr

That's the thing Al, when I click 'online friends' her name isn't there?

But just looking in the help section of there atm and she might need to upgrade her browser or apparently she should have a 'chat' button at the top right corner of her page and needs to click there.
We'll get there.

We thought it was cos OH is rather large lol until he messes up another swear word lol - other one was sod of a bit lol - took us a while to work that out too

How do you switch chat on?
I thought it was just there automatically?
But will send her a message telling her to do that.

You can set it so that you're effectively invisible ie not showing as online even if you are.

That, or she's gone inactive and looking at other sites but got her facebook window open. Send her a message or write on her wall as that will send her an email.
